About us

“Our goal is to partner with already existing ministries in the community of Battle Creek. Each of the twelve apostles had a different aspect of ministry, and so do each of us. We will complement each other.”

Love in Action Community Ministries is a church centered on love, it's our first name. “The plan is to take the gospel, that is taking the Word of God and demonstrating it out in the community – in word and in deed. We are a church not only within the walls of a building, but within the community!”

You're invited to come worship with us! We meet weekly on Sunday's Service at 11am. Tuesday Night Bible Study is every Tuesday at 6pm.

Pastor Boyd and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for over 28 years. They have a loving family consisting of 4 biological children and 5 grandchildren (3 girls and 2 boys). Family is a value that is important to them.

Pastor Boyd started his journey as a young child under the Pastor-ship of Dr. Willie T. Taylor at Shiloh Baptist Church. For over 11 years, Pastor Boyd and his family were involved in meaningful ministry at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kalamazoo, MI under the leadership of his Pastor, Dr. Addis Moore.

Pastor John encourages everyone who can join us for Sunday Morning Worship, we start at 11am. Come as you are! Look for your God opportunity take His challenge and let His Love change you!
